The Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the State of Qatar Joint Economic, Trade and Technical Commission held its first meeting
The Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the State of Qatar’s Joint Economic, Trade and Technical Commission’s first meeting was held On January 31, in the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
Initially, the Commission co-chair Minister of Emergency Situations Kamaladdin Heydarov and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani met in private. Then the ministers co-chaired the Joint Economic, Trade and Technical Commission’s first meeting with the participation of members from both sides.
It was stressed that the mutual visits of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Emir of the State of Qatar, His Highness Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani had been successful to stimulate the development of political and economic relations between the two countries. It was mentioned that the Commission was created at the wise initiatives of the heads of states and aimed at further deepening of relations between the two countries. In this sense was stressed that our country's export-oriented products to get reach to the Gulf market, also to promote investment cooperation with the Gulf countries is a priority at the moment, and in this regard the importance of increasing the efforts of public and private companies was emphasized. Positive response to the proposal of the issuance of visas to the citizens of Azerbaijan upon arrival in the State of Qatar on the basis of the reciprocity, was highly appreciated.
At the end of the meeting, views on issues of mutual interest were exchanged and Co-chairmen of the Commission Minister of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan Kamaladdin Heydarov and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani signed the Protocol on the results of the discussions.
