Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the State of Qatar Rashad Ismayilov met with The Director-General of Qatar News Agency Youssef Ibrahim Al Malki

on 23 October 2018, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the State of Qatar Rashad Ismayilov met with The Director-General of Qatar News Agency (QNA), Youssef Ibrahim Al Malki.

The sides exchanged views on the development of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Qatar in the field of information. The sides expressed satisfaction with the level of mutual cooperation between Azerbaijani State Information Agency (AZERTAG) and Qatar's official news agency QNA within the Memorandum of Understanding signed in 2011.

Ambassador briefed about the measures taken for the development of media in our country and the state's special attention to this sphere, noting that mutual cooperation in the field of information plays an important role to deliver true informations to the public. Speaking about AZERTAC's activities, the Ambassador noted that the agency publishes news in 7 languages, including Arabic.

1 Al-Maliki, in his turn, noted that the organization headed by him has good relations with the Azerbaijani State Information Agency on bilateral and international levels and regular meetings were held between the heads of both organizations. He recalled that the QNA delegation will take part in the Baku International Humanitarian Forum to be held in our country on October 25-26, 2018 and expressed their interest in the development of cooperation in the field of information with Azerbaijan.
