Al-Sharq and Raya newspapers of Qatar published materials on the occasion of 18 October, Independence Day of Azerbaijan

The articles with refer to the statement made by the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to the State of Qatar, Rashad Ismayilov, noted that on October 18, 1991, the Constitutional Act on the State Independence of the Republic of Azerbaijan was adopted, and the new state was announced  legal successor of the first parliamentary republic of the Muslim ُast – Azerbaijan Democratic Republic existed in 1918-1920.  Azerbaijan, which regained its independence after 70 years, is considered today as one of the world's fastest-growing economies under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev.

The articles touched upon the current level of relations between Azerbaijan and Qatar and prospects for further development. It was noted that reciprocal visits of the heads of states and 31 documents signed between the two countries contributed to the development of bilateral cooperation. The articles notified the growth of the trade turnover between the two countries and briefed about the favorable investment environment and tourism opportunities in Azerbaijan.
