Republic Day of Azerbaijan celebrated in Qatar

Azerbaijan`s Embassy in Qatar has hosted an event marking the country`s Republic Day.

The event brought together officials of Qatar, including  Minister of Development Planning and Statistics Dr. Saleh bin Mohammed Al Nabet, members of Azerbaijani Parliament, members of the diplomatic corps, representatives of Azerbaijani and Turkish communities and media representatives.

Ambassador Tofig Abdullayev highlighted the history of Azerbaijan`s independence. He praised the relations between the two countries and noted importance of the reciprocal visits by the heads of the states in the expansion of  the bilateral cooperation.

The event continued with a dinner reception.
