Minister of Agriculture of Azerbaijan Heydar Asadov received Chief of the Department of Business Development at Qatar Investment Authority (QIA) Sheikh Abdulaziz Ali Al Thani.
On May 11, 2016 the Minister of Agriculture of Azerbaijan Heydar Asadov received Chief of the Department of Business Development at Qatar Investment Authority (QIA) Sheikh Abdulaziz Ali Al Thani.
The aim of the meeting was acquaintance with the investment environment of Azerbaijan and discussion about the bilateral economic relationships and investment projects.
Agriculture Minister Heydar Asadov stated that the political relations between the two countries on a high level and it’s reasonable for the sides to develop the economic relations, especially in the field of agriculture. The Minister informed about the reforms fulfilled in the agriculture sphere of the country recent years and the suitable investment possibilities in this field.
He invited Qatari investors to Azerbaijan and expressed that proper support will be done by the Ministry for the investors to broaden the relations.
Sheikh Abdulaziz Ali Al Thani stated the interest of QIA and Qatar to invest in agricultural projects in Azerbaijan and the establishment of relations in this sector. He added: Qatar is interested to participate in the projects relating to the development of animal husbandry, milk production, vegetable growing and food industry.
